Today was the last day before Christmas holidays. Students watched a play " Tha match girl" by Hans Christian Andersen.

I went with a class 4a and listened to the carols. They played the guitar and the violin. Beautiful! They also wished each other Merry Christmas and shared wafer.

Hello!
I arrived in Poland in the evening so I went to see the Christmas Fair. It was wonderful!
Now I am in the fountain, but there are lights, not water. :)

I made new Polish friends. They are very nice...

I am Mr Snowman now :)

Departure

On Wednesday afternoon they put an Aland flag on my box and I was packed back into the box again. Here you can see me at the post office.

Poland here I come!

Work

Here I am in a smaller classroom together with a group of pupils.

The pupils had a lesson when they helped pupils in class 2 with some work and I was there too.

I have visited the library that is in the same building as the school. Nearly all books and magazines are in Swedish. Now I know why: Aland has belonged to Sweden earlier. A boy whispered to me that he mostly watches Swedish TV and that he had never been to Finland but several times to Sweden because it just takes 2 hours by ferry to go there. Ok - I understand!

New experinces

I have got a lot of experiences:
The Vikingaåsen school has 225 pupils in 13 different classes. Class 5B has got 20 pupils and is the biggest class in school. The pupils are 11-12 years old.
I was with the pupils during a music class and I played the drums, the piano and the guitar.

It is exiting to see snow.

Here I am riding plastic sledge.

The pupils will perform a musical Thursday evening before Christmas together with the other 5th class at school. So I watched them during some of their rehearsals.

Celebrating together with the pupils

At Friday I went to the church together with all the pupils from Vikingaasen school. They go there to celbrate that the Advent period begins now.

I watched the cermonyvery carefully but I didn´t understand a word because they speak Swedish. I am in Finland but they speak Swedish - strange! I have to ask them next week about this.
After the cermony the priest - Roger - showed me that they lighted up the first advent candle.

After this the pupils had a break and I was together with some of them. Here you can see me together with Morgan outside the library (bibliotek in Swedish).
